Residence
At the CIH Academy athletes have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and personal growth through the experience of community living. Living away from home in a residential environment prepares you for the transition to adulthood, while maintaining a secure and well-supervised environment in which to grow.
The housing is two or three per room according to gender and grade and shared washroom. Each brand-new student residence includes a common area equipped with an entertainment room, a kitchenette, and storage space.
House Director & House Parents
It is important for our athletes to have access to parent-like advisors while living in a comfortable, secure environment. Our residence is therefore supervised by a "House Director" who lives in the dormitory among the students along with House Parents. Athletes are able to look to their House Parent when they have a problem, need advice, or simply want to say hi. Having in-house supervision provides a "home away from home" atmosphere for our athletes which makes them feel as comfortable and home-like as possible, while providing a safe and controlled environment in which to grow.
