Players at CIH Academy compete against AAA and AA teams from the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA), providing a high level of competition that allows them to utilize the skills they learn in daily practices and on- and off-ice training.
Players also have the opportunity to participate in competitive tournaments to maximize their exposure to elite levels of competitive hockey.
CIH Academy teams play against the best AAA teams in the Ontario East AAA Hockey League, while our U18 Midget AA Girls team are part of the Ottawa District Women's Hockey Association. Our teams are also competing in top-level tournaments, giving them exposure to College and Major Junior recruiters. In total, all teams will play approximately 65 – 70 games each year, which will allow them to experience the rigours of a top-level season while still allowing adequate time for academic studies.
Eastern Ontario is known for its love of hockey and its multitude of teams, players and hockey opportunities. CIH Academy players are surrounded by top level hockey, which allows them to learn and improve in a challenging, competitive environment.
