
The Canadian International Hockey Academy is a premier hockey boarding institution providing athletes a tailored education provided by the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB), and a an environment to help them succeed in school, in hockey, and in life.
Located 30 minutes outside of Ottawa, the Canadian International Hockey Academy is Eastern Canada's premier hockey institution, with the pro-style facilities and faculty and educational programs of the UCDSB. As a co-ed institution recruiting athletes in grades 9 to 12 from around the world, CIH Academy is a uniquely rich and diversified experience for all who attend.
CIH Academy is the only not-for-profit co-ed hockey campus in Canada that offers both a unique partnership with a public school board and an officially sanctioned program through Hockey Canada. Athletes at CIH Academy attend UCDSB classes on campus taught by fully-accredited teachers from the Board, using a tailored Independent Learning Module system thatl allows each student/athlete to excel. Our commitment is to keep CIH Academy small and focused to provide all student/athletes with the support and attention they deserve with our enrolment to be capped at 200.
CIH Academy's relationship with Hockey Canada means that athletes have access to our Hockey Canada-certified coaches and the benefit of the best elite hockey training and experience possible. Athletes are also exposed to Junior, Major Junior, University, and NHL levels of hockey. CIH Academy is also a member of the competitive leagues of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and Ottawa District Women’s Hockey Association (ODWHA) and our teams compete at the AA and AAA levels.
All campus facilities such as the Athletics and Events Centre (Arena), dorms, and outdoor sporting amenities are newly-built and state-of-the-art.
